We had beautiful sub-100 degree weather for Field Day this year, what a delightful change of pace! WPARC hosted a Saturday-only Field Day event at Foskett Regional Park in Lincoln, CA. Members arrived early to set up in preparation for the 11 AM PT start time. Our Field Day Leader James KK6EGJ did a masterful job in marshaling the members, setting up the site, providing appropriate signage, and addressing site safety considertions. A few minor radio glitches were resolved and we had a 4-Alpha station on the air. One of our member's XYL cooked some yummy cheeseburgers for lunch. We ate well! ARRL Sacramento Valley Section Manager Jay Ballinger N6SAC visited the site in the early afternoon. We hosted a tape measure direction finding antenna building activity, followed by a fox hunt to test them. When dinnertime approached we made a run to Brick and Barrel Pizza. We almost polished off two large pizzas at our Field Day site. The day wrapped up before the park curfew at 9 PM. It was some fun!

WPARC uses N3FJP logging software. It provided this North America section map showing sections where we made contacts on Field Day. The white spaces indicate no contact, but the colored in sections indicate we made a contact there.
